(Not) Working

After a very, very long eight years at Astranis, I decided to stop doing that. I'm still trying to figure out how to write about it, but rust is hard to shake off. I'm thinking very hard and… not, about what to do next. I've been doing more social talks and event meetups and interviews, but I'm not sure what timeline I'm looking for.

I've gotten quite a few offers to help out with consulting and contracting. I'm debating if those count or not, and how to approach them. I see them two ways

• A chance to do your own thing and see how you lik eit
• A rude vacation interruption

Growth

Practice Pal is something I've always wanted to make. It's an music app inspired by workout apps. Why can't I see all the workbooks I've done, tempo's I've played, growth over time, etc? Now that AI is good enough, even I can make an app. It's been an awesome learning experience and I'm hoping to ship it in the next few weeks

Kick drum doubles is the current skill I'm trying to learn. It's humbling to not have this under my belt, but the dentist below me be damned, I will figure this skill out. It's very odd because it's the first thing in a long time to “reset” my drum progress and take me back to an uncoordinated amateur again.
